Nothing moves without a signature
- Named roles sign each step. Product signs the idea and specification, UX signs the design, QA signs the acceptance criteria, Dev signs the technical decisions and build plan.
- Signatures are recorded. Every signed step shows who signed and when — so “who agreed to this?” always has an answer.
- Reopening withdraws them. Change a signed document and the signatures come off. Nothing goes stale silently.
Every criterion, covered
- Criteria keep their numbers. AC-3 stays AC-3 forever, so specs, tasks, and test reports can all point at the same line.
- Tasks account for all of them. Signet generates the build plan from the signed documents and shows you that every criterion is covered by a task.
- Each task carries an AI prompt. A ready-to-use implementation prompt, grounded in the spec — and in your codebase, when a Git connector lets Signet investigate it first.

What is Signet?

Do I need my own AI key?
You can bring your own key from Anthropic, OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Google Gemini, or xAI Grok and use Signet for free. If you’d rather not manage a key, Signet-managed AI runs on prepaid credit you top up as needed.
How does it work with AI coding agents?
Every Build Plan task includes an AI Implementation prompt written from the signed documents. With a Git connector, Signet can investigate your codebase first so tasks reference real files and conventions. You hand the prompt to whichever coding agent your team uses.
What does delivery look like?
Tasks publish to Azure DevOps Boards as work items; approved documents commit to Azure DevOps Repos as a pull request. Before anything is created, Signet shows you exactly what will be created and where — and every document can also be viewed, copied, or downloaded directly.
